Not quite ready to say goodbye to the patio? We feel you. For some folks, cold weather has a tendency to drive them indoors. However, we don’t believe in letting a few drops in Fahrenheit keep us from enjoying Mother Nature.
On clear fall and winter nights, we love the ability to spend time with friends and loved ones on the patio. But, what’s the biggest obstacle that keeps most folks indoors? Heat!
No one wants to spend the afternoon or evening in the freezing cold. That’s where patio heaters come into play.
Patio heaters bring the heat! They can turn a frigid outdoor space into a beacon of warmth. Turn on a patio heater and suddenly your outdoor space goes from drab to winter fab – creating a circle around which you and your guests will naturally congregate.
Tips to Utilizing Your Patio Heater
1. Take Stock of Your Space
Consider how big your space is and how much of it you want to heat. The typical patio heater will disperse heat in a 15-foot to 20-foot radius. Depending on how big your space is, you may want to more than one patio heater.
2. Consider Safety
Where will you place your patio heater? The more central the location, the more effective the heat dispersal will be. However, sticking it in the center of guests might not be the best for conversation. Nor will it be all too safe if folks try to pass things around it.
Furthermore, you want to place your patio heater on a level surface. This helps prevent tipping and ensures an even flame.
3. Do You Want to be Able to Move Your Heater?
Don’t want to be stuck with a patio heater in the same place all winter? Or, do you just not want to be stuck with a patio heater come summer?
Look for a portable patio heater. This allows you to move it in and out of storage.
